Science meets art in Endless Forms, a ground-breaking exhibition revealing the fascinating relationship between Darwin’s revolutionary theories and artists of the late nineteenth century.

Endless Forms brought together a remarkable variety of nearly two hundred objects and works of art from around the world – many on public display in the UK for the first time – including paintings, drawings, sculpture, early photographs, caricatures, illustrated books and a spectacular range of natural history specimens.

Juxtaposing works of art with fascinating scientific material, and uniting world-renowned masterpieces by artists such as Monet, Degas, Cézanne and Landseer with intriguing works by lesser-known artists, Endless Forms encouraged a radical reappraisal of nineteenth-century art.
